Shelf or Base?

The sculpture description in the gallery lets you know if your piece comes with this display option. Each shelf or base is handmade to custom-fit the sculpture, hence the delay in shipping after purchase.

The base option is ready for your viewing pleasure as soon as you set it down on something, and it is easy to relocate as well.

The shelf option involves more consideration and requires you to assess your wall material and determine how to securely attach the angle cleat appropriately to support the weight of the sculpture. You are solely responsible for proper installation of the provided angle cleat and ensuring your wall and mounting hardware can safely support this weight (sculpture weight in description). What is polymer clay and how do I care for my sculpture?

Polymer clay is a plastic based compound that hardens when heated to 275 degrees. Once hardened it is very durable but can still be damaged by dropping it or knocking it into something hard/sharp. When handling your sculpture, always support it with two hands being careful not to flex it. Always lift the artwork by supporting the base from underneath; never lift, pull, or carry the piece by the sculpture. To ensure longevity, your sculpture should be kept indoors. Avoid direct sunlight and areas with large humidity/temperature fluctuations. If you find it difficult to resist caressing the smooth curved surfaces, always do so with clean hands. To wash away any staining, use a barely damp soft cloth applying very gentle pressure, if needed, use 50/50 diluted isopropyl alcohol. For normal dusting use a soft brush or microfiber cloth. I see the small links below for shipping policy, terms of service, and other legal mumbo jumbo, but I don't like reading those. Can you summarize the important parts?

Sure, but those legal words are important and you should read them as they do take precedence.

SHIPPING: If you're in Orange County, I would be more than happy to deliver your sculpture to you free of charge. Or we can arrange for you to pick it up. Your sculpture will be packaged securely but less than what would be necessary for a third-party delivery. If you are outside of OC near the coast and there’s a swell on the way, or there's a good beachcombing location nearby, reach out to me and let's see if a free delivery is possible. Otherwise please use the shipping option on the checkout page (and read the shipping policy).
I personally make the steel shelves and wood bases to custom fit the sculpture so if your sculpture comes with that option it will ship 7-10 days after purchase due to materials procurement and fabrication times.

RETURNS: If you are not satisfied with your purchase, you may request a return or refund within ten [10] calendar days of delivery, provided the work is returned in its original condition and packaging. Return shipping costs are borne by the buyer unless otherwise agreed in writing. Some addresses qualify for free pick up. See full refund policy in link at bottom of page.

INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY: Physical ownership of the artwork transfers to the buyer upon full payment, but all copyright, image rights, and other intellectual property rights remain with the artist unless explicitly agreed otherwise in writing. The buyer acquires ownership of the physical object only and does not acquire any right to reproduce, publish, license, distribute, alter, scan, digitize, tokenize, commercially exploit, or create derivative works based on the artwork or its image without prior written permission. ARTIST'S RIGHT TO BORROW: The Artist reserves the right to borrow the Work from the Purchaser for temporary use in exhibitions, photo shoots, publications, or other promotional purposes related to the Artist’s career. See Section 6 of Terms of Service in link at bottom of page.
